April 23 - 27, 2022 FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY SPRING BOOK SALE Celebrating Our 68 th Year 1954-2022 Over Half a Million ITEMS - More than 60 Categories! Books Comics Manga Artwork Posters Puzzles DVDs, Vinyl records Sheet music, and much more. April  23 to 27, 2022 Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm Sunday, Noon to 6 pm Monday, Noon to 6 pm Tuesday, Noon to 6 pm, 1/2 price day Wednesday, Noon to 6pm, 10 cent day Hundreds of thousands of books and other items have been sorted and priced. All have been donated by the greater Gainesville community. Great Prices Most regular prices 25 cents to $4 Tuesday: half price day; Wednesday: 10 cent day We now accept credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay,  as well as cash and checks. Collector's Corner is one of the areas that sets this sale apart. It has a selection of first editions, signed and rare books, vintage vinyl records, maps, artwork, and other collectible items. Collector's Corner is open the first four days of the sale, Saturday to Tuesday. FOL now has an expanded indoor area with a separate entrance for Art/Architecture, Comics/Manga, and Puzzles/Games. Occupancy in these areas and in Collector's Corner will be limited. Music Table: Large selection of sheet music for the classical guitarist and lots of piano tutors Record Table:  Very large selection of classical LPs, jazz CDs, 78rpms, and 45rpms records. FOL Gainesville does not allow pre-buying of items. Everything, and everybody waits on that opening morning entry that is traditionally lead by our Scottish Bag Piper! Modifications to normal procedures (including reduced occupancy rate, distancing, and masking) will be made based on COVID infection rates the weeks preceding the sale. On busy days shoppers may have to wait in line until others first leave the building. All profits are used for the Alachua County Library District and community literacy projects.
